James Douglass, 34, passed away December 13th, 2023, at the Mayo hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. He was the beloved son of Robin McClain and Dick Douglass. James was also cherished by his stepfather, Russell McClain who played an integral role in his life and Shauna Johnson.

Fred McGuire, lifelong resident of Wheatland and Platte County, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the Platte County Legacy Home in Wheatland at the age of 93.

On December 5, 2023 Arnold “Buck” William Evans received his last call for service surrounded by his loving family at the Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland. Although it was his last call, his memory and legacy will forever be held.
