Shirley Kay (Pilcher) Winter

GUERNSEY – Marlan “Mutts” King greeted his heavenly family Friday evening Feb. 10, 2023, at home in Guernsey, surrounded by his wife, kids, and extended family. He loved his job at the Sunrise mine and would talk to anyone about it for hours. He enjoyed elk hunting in Jackson in the winter and fishing in Snowy Range during the summer. He spent his retirement time running a scrap metal business and helping people tear down and discard stuff. He believed in the old fashion style of helping friends and family with no expectation of anything in return. He loved his family very much and would do anything for them.

CHEYENNE – Janice passed away peacefully in her sleep in Cheyenne on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022. Janice was born in Denver, Colorado, but spent most of her childhood in Casper, Midwest and ending up in Wheatland, where she graduated from Wheatland High School in 1980.

WHEATLAND – “What a surprise!” may have been the first words to reach newborn Davey Parkin’s ears. He had a brand-new brother, Donny who had just been born eight minutes before, and most believed the “birthing” was done—even though his mother had been big as a house for quite a while.

WHEATLAND ­– “Omigosh, there’s another one!” was the announcement that Danny Parkin was about to make his arrival into the world. While all available Torrington hospital staff were attending to his two older brothers-Donny, 16 minutes older, and Davey, eight minutes older, a young nurse’s aide was the first to notice that there was another baby coming also.

CALEDONIA, Miss. – Annabel Hines Masterson, age 93, of Caledonia, passed away Feb. 7, 2023, at her residence. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Masterson was born May 15, 1029, in Fromberg, Montana, to the late John and Arnima Baine Hines. Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

WHEATLAND – Helen Faye (Bryant) Anderson, 96, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, at the Platte County Nursing Home in Wheatland.

LARAMIE – William Dean Flock, 86, of Laramie, passed away on Tuesday, Jan.24, at Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie.

WHEATLAND – Funeral services for Patricia Jo “Miss Patty” Kaufman, 77, will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023, at United Church of Christ in Wheatland, with Pastor Chris Furl officiating. Inurnment will be held in the Wheatland Cemetery.

TORRINGTON, WYOMING --- Memorial services for DIANNA LYNN EVANS, 73, will be held January 26, 2023, at 1:00 Pm at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel

WHEATLAND – Christene Lawanda Amundson, 86, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023, at the Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland, surrounded by her family. Christene was born on Tuesday, May 19, 1936, in Harrisburg, Arkansas, the daughter of L. Warren and Sadie (Deckelman) Schadow.

WHEATLAND – A funeral service for Ira Browning, Jr., 86, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2023, at the Wheatland Bible Church in Wheatland, with Pastor Tony Borton officiating.

GUERNSEY – Vincent David Luoma 13 of Divide, Colorado passed away on Dec. 10, 2022 at his great grandparents’ home in Salida, Colorado.
