Jeanette G. Christiansen, 88 years old, of Cheyenne passed peacefully in her sleep on Oct. 18, 2026. Jeanette was born on July 4, 1938, Clinton, Iowa to Louis and Viola Goldensoph. Jeanette was a homemaker until her children attended elementary school and then worked for the Platte County Memorial Hospital as a billing specialist. Upon retiring, she volunteered at the Wheatland Thrift store until moving to Cheyenne in 2018. Jeanette was a woman whose love could be felt in so many ways, but perhaps nowhere more than around her kitchen table.
She loved to cook and took great joy in preparing delicious meals for people she loved. Her kitchen was a place where memories were shared, and no one ever left hungry. She treasured spending time with her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. They brought tremendous joy to her life. Anyone who knew Jeanette, knew how much she loved her boxer dogs.
Jeanette is survived by her sons, Mark (Margarette) Christiansen, Fresno, California; Mitch (Lorina) Christiansen, Cheyenne; Murray (Karen), Tucson, Arizona; and daughter, Michelle (Russell) Herman, Cheyenne, 9 grandkids and 23 great-grandkids.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, John Christiansen, son Mike Christiansen of Davenport, Iowa, one grandson and one great-grandson.
Services were held at North Christian Church, 2015 Tranquility Road, Cheyenne on Friday, Oct. 23 at 2:00 p.m.
