Kent Graves, 66, passed away at his home on Friday, Oct. 2, 2026. Kent was born in Wheatland on Dec. 28, 1959.
Kent graduated from Wheatland High School in 1978.
Kent is survived by his brother Robin (Mert) Graves of Wheatland; nephews, Blake (Jenn) Graves of Woodville, Texas and Trent Graves of Wheatland; his great-nephew, Caid Graves of Cheyenne; great-niece, Aspen Graves of Cheyenne; and great-nephew and niece, Jensen and Moxie of Woodville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gary and Dot Graves, a brother, a great-nephew, and his grandparents.
Kent loved his family and friends. Anyone who knew him knows he loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and anything that was part of owning and riding one.
He also loved music and picking his guitar.
He will always be remembered as “Salt Lick”.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, at the Wheatland Cemetery with Jeb Baker officiating. There will be a celebration of life immediately following the service at the Moose Lodge in Wheatland.
Honorary pallbearers will be all his numerous friends and family.
