Benny, a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, companion, and friend, passed away in Valdosta, Georgia on Sept. 26, 2026.
He was born in Wheatland on March 15, 1962. Benny was the youngest of nine children born to Barney and Mary Juarez, part of a large and close-knit family. Growing up with so many siblings meant a childhood filled with teasing, laughter, adventure, and an abundance of love.
Benny made his home in Valdosta, Georgia, where he built a successful masonry business. Through years of hard work and unwavering dedication, he leaves behind a legacy of beautiful masonry projects that stand as a testament to his craftmanship. Fishing was his favorite pastime. Out on the water, with a pole in his hand and the world quiet around him, Benny found the happiness and calm that defined his best days.
More than the places he called home or the pastimes he cherished, Benny will be remembered through the people who loved him. He leaves behind his son, Jonathon (Gena), and grandson Hawkeye; his longtime companion, Arline Huewitt; his surviving siblings, Arthur, Bonnie (Stan), Rita (Jeff), and Lucy (Gary); and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who hold decades of shared memories.
Benny was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Mary, and his siblings, Johnny, Carlos, Phyllis, and Martha, all of whom he now joins in rest.
Benny will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and all who knew him. A celebration of his life will take place in Wheatland in the spring of 2027, where loved ones will gather to honor his memory.
