Marlin lived his entire life in Wheatland and graduated from high school in 1955 at Wheatland High School he earned the nickname “Shane”. It always made him smile.
Marlin worked on a wheat farm near Antelope Gap; for the school system as a custodian and bus driver; for the Wyoming Highway Department; and finished out his career as an engineering/surveying assistant and draftsman for Kenneth Kennedy, for thirty years. He was an excellent draftsman, and was very proud of the fact.

In later life, Marlin lived in the Senior apartments on 16th Street, with his last months spent at the Platte County Legacy Home. He also had a couple of recent stays at the Platte County Hospital. He was very appreciative of the care he received from the staff and the doctors at all those places.
Marlin’s faith was very important to him. He was a kind man, and was old-time Wheatland through and through. He will be missed.
