Laural Sutherland Krueger passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 14, 2025, at La Posada, Green Valley, Arizona, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories among friends and family.
Born on Jan. 30, 1939, in Wheatland, Laural graduated from Wheatland High School in 1957. After graduation, she moved to Washington, D.C., where she worked for a time with the FBI before returning west.
Laural married Kim Krueger in 1960, and together they built a life grounded in hard work, dedication, and family.
They spent much of their married life working the Double K Family Ranch in McFadden, before heading back to Wheatland, where they raised their two children, Kelly and Kortney. Those years reflected Laural’s strong work ethic and deep commitment to her family including driving the Hesston hay swather in the meadows of the ranch before sunscreen was a thing!
In later years, Laural and Kim made their home in Arizona, becoming a resident of Green Valley. During this time, Laural remained active in her community through charity work at St. Andrews Children’s Clinic, her involvement with P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization), and membership in the Mountain Oyster Club, and other community and artistic endeavors. She thrived on planning trips and traveling to new places with family and friends.
She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends on any occasion to celebrate and toast the good life.
Laural is predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Kim (2024), and her daughter, Kelly (2021). She is survived by her son Kortney, his wife Damhnait, her beloved grandchildren, Keeva and Max, and her extended family.
