Harold E. Denney of rural Chugwater passed away peacefully at Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland at 7:09 pm on October 25, 2024, at the age of 84. Harold E. Denney the son of Harold A. and Louise Denney was born March 2, 1940, in Neodesha, Kansas.
As a young man, Harold was employed by the Corps of Engineers and worked in the Chugwater area on the Minuteman Missile sites. While working in the area he met the love of his life and married Charlette (Meeker) Denney on August 23, 1964. After the wedding they made plans to stay in rural Chugwater on the ranch, so Harold switched jobs and went to work for the Wyoming Highway Department for 30 years, while helping build Interstate 25 from Cheyenne to Casper retiring as a highly respected Engineering Inspector.
Harold is survived by his wife of 60 years Charlette Denney rural Chugwater; sisters Janice Savute of Wichita, Kansas, Charlotte Blair of Wichita, Kansas, and nephew Brian Blair of rural Chugwater.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents Harold A. and Louise Denney, and his sister Karen Blair.
Arrangements are being managed by Schrader, Aragon & Jacoby Funeral Home in Cheyenne. Private graveside services will be scheduled at a later date.
