Eve Loretta Carlson, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 27, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she had lived since 1990. She was born in Fort Laramie, Wyoming, on Friday, Aug. 18, 1939. She was raised in a family of 12 children and loved large family gatherings. Eve loved and often performed music, playing accordion and guitar. She also enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, and watching her favorite game shows, which entailed solving the Wheel of Fortune puzzles before anyone else in the room, and the contestants as well.
Eve’s life was a continual outpouring of love, kindness, patience, humor and humility. She loved her family with all of her heart and will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren, siblings, their families, and many friends. She is survived by her sons Kenny Garner of Yoder, Wyoming and Jim Garner (Pam) of Las Vegas; daughters Judy Alberti of Las Vegas, Georgia (Don) Farrier of Wheatland, Wyoming, and Melody Hodges (Jeff) of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren A.J. Garner of Springdale Utah, Tressa Wellman (Chad) of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Corrie Leiseth (Jack) of Saratoga, Wyoming, Natalie Barry (Bron) of Salt Lake City, Utah, Natasha Lykins (Min) of Las Vegas, and Dylan Alberti (Kelly) of Las Vegas; and great-grandchildren Reilly Alberti, Mariah Demers, and Karlee and Clara Leiseth. She is also survived by her brothers, Dale and Larry Britton of Gillette, Wyoming and sisters, Laura Moore of Hartville, Wyoming, Linda Miller (Jim) of Wheatland, Donna Harvey of Lance Creek, Wyoming, and Karen Britton Montazeri (Majid) of Long Island, New York.
Eve was preceded in death by her mother, Illa (Keane) Britton; father, Howard Britton; brothers, Jim Britton, Bill Britton, Don Britton and Ben Britton; and a sister, Kay Brooks. Graveside services will be held at Prairie Rest Cemetery in Guernsey, Wyoming, on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow at the VFW Hall in Guernsey. Serving as pallbearers will be Malcolm Ervin, Rowdy Brooks, Jaime Britton, Tim Newton,
Richard Lara, and Ben Britton. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Wilson, Wesley Moore, Wade Moore, Dennis Brook, Jeff Newton, and Steve Newton.
