Kay Britton passed away on June 10 after a lengthy illness. She was born Earnestine Kay Palmer to John Dale and Mildred Palmer. She was born on June 12, 1951. She married Kenneth Ray Jenkins and had three boys, Mark(Mikki), Brian(Christine), and Grant. She spent most of her first marriage raising her boys. Kay and Kenny divorced in early 1990.
She was employed by the Wheatland Irrigation district for about thirty years. She met Don Britton and they married in 2016 and became stepmother to Lori and Carrie. She then changed her name to Kay Leigh Britton. She loved her boys, camping, and many other hobbies.
Kay loved to spend time with her family and friends; she was blessed with four grandsons, three granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and John Purcell. Grandparents, Earnest and Cecilia Cozad. An Uncle Earnest Cozad Jr,. and husband Don.
She is survived by her son’s and spouses and all grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Kay was a loving mother and friend to many who knew her. She will always be associated with good memories of her by her family and friends. She would like to make note of her good friends, Al and Gloria Lambert, Donna Kinsley, Sheena Lambert and many more. She will be greatly missed.
