The Platte County Historical Society will host a program titled “Behind the Scenes at Fort Laramie, on Tuesday, February 28th. The free program, presented by curator Caroline Rohe will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Platte County Public Library. Everyone is welcome.
Caroline will share information about the more than 330,000 historical objects held in the collections of the Fort Laramie National Historic Site, and what it takes to maintain such a large historical representation of the fort’s history.
The Platte County Historical Society is a chapter of the Wyoming Historical Society. Membership includes receiving Annals of Wyoming three times a year, Wyoming History News, notices of special events such as treks to historic sites, award opportunities.
