Posted

Wheatland High School freshman Ariel “Alex” Kumelos made history at the the very first sanctioned Girls High School Wrestling State Tournament at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper last Friday night. Kumelos won her final match against Andraya Canchola from Natrona to take the state title at 125 lbs. When the team arrived back home on Sunday the traditional champions parade was held at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Kumelos along with her teammates rode the championship fire truck around Wheatland.
