NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
The Town of Glendo, Wyoming, will conduct a public meeting at 10:30 AM, local time, on September 25, 2026, at Glendo Town Hall, 114 S. Yellowstone Highway, Glendo, Wyoming. The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to review and comment on the Glendo Source Water Upgrades and Meter Replacement Project. The project includes replacement of approximately 225 residential and commercial water meters, replacement of the Downey Well House and associated piping, installation of well and primary system meters, and physical and cybersecurity improvements. The improvements are needed to address sanitary-survey deficiencies, reduce potential contamination risks, improve water measurement and reporting, and improve billing accuracy and conservation.
At the meeting, the Town of Glendo will present the preliminary design of the proposed project and discuss the estimated cost of the improvements and the funding plan. A preliminary plan of improvements, cost estimates, and the funding plan may also be reviewed at Glendo Town Hall. Contact Kelsey Crabtree, Clerk, at (307) 735-4242.
Based on current cost estimates, the Town of Glendo plans to borrow up to $1,500,000 from the Wyoming Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments. Water-user fees will be pledged to repay the loan. Residential water rates were increased by $10 per month, commercial water rates were increased by $20 per month, and annual increases of 4% were adopted to support operations, maintenance, and projected debt repayment. The Town is requesting equivalency-project consideration and principal forgiveness. Final interest rate, loan term, and principal-forgiveness amount are subject to funding-agency approval and will be presented at the meeting.
Written comments are also welcome. To have written comments read at the public meeting, they must be received by 4:00 PM on September 24, 2026. Send comments to Kelsey Crabtree, Clerk, Town of Glendo, P.O. Box 396, Glendo, WY 82213, or deliver them to Glendo Town Hall.
