Public Hearing Notice - Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
The Town of Chugwater will hold a public hearing for the community’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) activities, with proposed funding made available from the Wyoming Community Development Authority (WCDA) CDBG Program. The public hearing will be held:
September 14, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.

The Town of Chugwater in cooperation with Chugwater Economic Development, Inc. (CHED) propose to demolish and remove the deteriorated historic Chugwater Hotel and associated buildings located on Main Street in Chugwater. The project will eliminate an imminent public safety hazard, clear the site for future redevelopment, and preserve the safety and appearance of the community’s downtown corridor. The purpose of the public hearing is to solicit public view, comments, and recommendations for the above mentioned project and a potential grant application for WCDA’s CDBG Program. The WCDA will accept applications until September 30, 2026, at 5 p.m. WCDA expects to have approximately $3,600,424.00 available for housing related activities within the State of Wyoming. Eligible activities include acquisition of real property, rehabilitation of public works facilities, publicly owned infrastructure improvements, clearance, demolition, removal reconstruction, and rehabilitation of buildings and improvements, improvements to public facilities, and planning activities. AT least 75% of activities must result in a direct benefit to low (50% of HUD’s AMI) and moderate (80% of HUD’s AMI) income persons.
Interested persons are invited to attend, participate in the process, and provide comments in support of or in opposition to the potential grant application.
