Notice of Public Re-Test of Voting Equipment (W.S. § 22-11-104(b)(iii))
Pursuant to W.S. § 22-11-104(b)(iii), notice is hereby given that a public re-test of voting equipment will be conducted on Saturday, July 25, 2026 beginning at 9:00 AM. The test will take place in the Commissioner Room at the Platte County Courthouse (800 9th St., Wheatland).
The test will be specific to three pieces of electronic tabulating equipment: the equipment utilized to tabulate Absentee ballots, and two spare tabulators. The ballot marking devices and tabulators deployed to the polls on election day will not be re-tested.
Those wishing to attend will need to enter through the east entrance along the alley. “Enter Here” signs will be affixed next to the door indicating which entrance is open. Attendees may park in the large parking lot east of the Courthouse (and north of the jail).
Take note that space is limited, but best efforts will be made to ensure those interested are able to attend. Political party representatives, representatives of independent candidates and at least three (3) members of the public shall be allowed entry for the test according to Wyoming law. Any occupancy space remaining will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Following the test, equipment will be sealed and prepared for use on election day. Electors may challenge the use of electronic voting equipment within five (5) days of the machine being sealed by filing a complaint in the district court pursuant to W.S. § 22-10-110.
