Comprehensive Summary of Platte County Commissioner Proceedings pursuant W.S. §18-3-516(a) – The Board of County Commissioners, Platte County, Wyoming, met on the 16th day of June 2026 in the county seat of Wheatland. Those present for the meeting were Steve Shockley, Commission Chairman; Ian Jolovich, Commissioner; John “Jeb” Baker, Commissioner; and Malcolm Ervin, County Clerk. Chairman Shockley called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM. Commissioner Baker motioned, seconded by Commissioner Jolovich, to approve the agenda as presented. The motion carried. Commissioner Baker motioned, seconded by Commissioner Jolovich, to approve the June 2nd meeting minutes. The motion carried. Commissioner Baker motioned, seconded by Commissioner Jolovich, to approve the vouchers as presented. The motion carried. Temporary Closure of Courthouse Offices: Commissioner Jolovich motioned, seconded by Commissioner Baker, to approve Resolution #2026-09 authorizing a temporary closure of County buildings. The motion carried. The full resolution is available for inspection online at www.plattecountywyoming.com or in the Office of the County Clerk. Sybille Creek Road: Commissioner Baker motioned, seconded by Commissioner Jolovich, to alter the Sybille Creek Road and authorize the Chairman to sign an order to that effect on behalf of the board. The motion carried. That order was recorded in the Office of the County Clerk & Recorder under reception number 736783 (Book 591, Page 274). Skyline Simple Subdivision: Commissioner Jolovich motioned, seconded by Commissioner Baker, to approve the Skyline Simple Subdivision and authorize the Chairman to sign. The motion carried. Board Appointments: Commissioner Jolovich motioned, seconded by Commissioner Baker, to appoint Levi Clark to the Hospital Foundation Board for a term expiring June 30, 2031. The motion carried. Commissioner Baker motioned, seconded by Commissioner Jolovich, to appoint Bonnie Lockhart and Bill Klein to the Planning & Zoning Commission for a term expiring June 30, 2029. The motion carried. Executive Session: At 1:55 PM, Commissioner Jolovich motioned, seconded by Commissioner Baker, to call for an executive session for personnel matters pursuant to Wyoming Statute 16-4-405(a)(ii). The motion carried. At 2:28 PM, Commissioner Jolovich motioned, seconded by Commissioner Baker, to adjourn executive session where no decisions were made. The motion carried. Courthouse Phase II Renovation: Commissioner Jolovich motioned, seconded by Commissioner Baker, to approve two estimates for testing and abatement services as presented. The motion carried. There being no further business for board consideration, the meeting adjourned at approximately 4:45 PM  The full minutes will be available for inspection in the Office of the County Clerk or online at www.plattecountywyoming.com once they are approved by the Board.
