Comprehensive Summary of Platte County Commissioner Proceedings pursuant W.S. §18-3-516(a) – The Board of County Commissioners, Platte County, Wyoming, met on the 2nd day of December 2025 in the county seat of Wheatland. Those present for the meeting were Steve Shockley, Commission Chairman; Ian Jolovich, Commissioner; and Malcolm Ervin, County Clerk. John “Jeb” Baker, Commissioner, was absent on a County-related trip. Chairman Shockley called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM. Commissioner Jolovich motioned, seconded by Chairman Shockley, to approve the agenda as presented. Clerk Ervin asked the Board to add Drew Dietrich of the Wyoming Business Council to the agenda at 10:00 AM. Clerk Ervin said he had spoken to Mr. Dietrich previously but failed to add him to the agenda as he requested. The motion carried. Commissioner Jolovich motioned, seconded by Chairman Shockley, to approve the November 18th meeting minutes. The motion carried. Sick Leave Donation: Commissioner Jolovich motioned, seconded by Chairman Shockley, to approve the donation of 96 hours of sick leave from two employees to one. The motion carried. Agreements: Commissioner Jolovich motioned, seconded by Chairman Shockley, to approve an agreement with Axon Enterprises and authorize the sheriff to sign. The motion carried. Commissioner Jolovich motioned, seconded by Chairman Shockley, to approve an agreement with NCIC Correctional Services and authorize the sheriff to sign. The motion carried. Sale of Equipment: Commissioner Jolovich motioned, seconded by Chairman Shockley, to approve the sale of firearms in the sum of $6,720. The motion carried. Executive Session: At 11:03 AM, Commissioner Jolovich motioned, seconded by Chairman Shockley, to call for an executive session for personnel matters pursuant to Wyoming Statute 16-4-405(a)(ii). The motion carried. At 11:48 AM, Chairman Shockley motioned, seconded by Commissioner Jolovich, to adjourn executive session where no decisions were made. The motion carried. There being no further business for board consideration, the meeting adjourned at approximately 11:50 AM.
