Four Eagles compete in Mitchell

MITCHELL, Neb. – The Glendo Eagles had four athletes compete at the Mitchell Invitational on Thursday, with the best finish coming from Jacob Roark.

Roark snagged 10th in the 110-meter hurdles, posting a time of 18.67 seconds. He also picked up a 14th-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.85 seconds. In the long jump, Roark cleared 17 feet, 10 inches to take 16th.

Eli Sanders joined Roark on the track. He clocked a time of 26.68 seconds in the 200, finishing 28th. In the 400, he finished 39th with a time of 1:05.10. The sophomore secured 23rd in the 800 (2:42.30).

Colton Roark rounded out the Eagle boys. In the discus, he had a throw of 79 feet to take 35th. He also had a shot of 26 feet, 5 inches, earning him 42nd.

For the Lady Eagles, Brook Sanborn had a 33rd-place finish in the 400 with a time of 1:32.11. She also clocked a time of 17.14 seconds in the 100, earning 39th.

The Eagles return to action Saturday at the Normative Services Institute Invitational.
