BULLDOGS HEADING TO STATE

The Wheatland High School Bulldog basketball team punched their ticket to the Wyoming High School 3A Boys Basketball State Championship set to take place at The Ford Wyoming Center and Casper College. The Bulldogs played in the regional tournament and ended up getting the third seed for State. Saturday afternoon they defeated Moorcroft 48-29 to officially get them into the state tournament. For the game, JP Anderson was the leading scorer with 14 points, Jacob Hyche had 13, Brock Peasley had seven, Aric Suko had four, Colt Halverson had four, Lee Raser had four and Bryce Stenson had two. On Saturday, the Bulldogs then jumped out to a 12-0 lead against Torrington and held on for a 41-30 victory securing the third Seed. This week the boys will open against the Lyman Eagles, who finished their season 17-7. Tipoff will be at noon this Thursday, March 9, in Casper.
