WHEATLAND — Services for Seniors activities craft class participants are at it again. Some warm breezes and bright winter sunshine were the perfect backdrop for another fun and easy – though very clever – projects.

Bearded gnomes appeared almost like magic at the hands of Activities Director Carrie Kafka and her faithful devotees. Skein upon skein of colorful yarns, buttons, and beads were available for each participant to create unique little characters suitable for decorating or giving as a fun little memento. The activities center buzzed with laughter, teasing, and light-hearted conversation.

Freshly brewed coffee, cupcakes, and buttered popcorn were available for everyone to enjoy.

If you are a reader 60 years of age or older, you are welcome to participate in the Services for Seniors activities. Their calendar is full of a variety of activities and services. In addition to crafts, the activities center also offers games and exercise classes. Kafka welcomes any donations to the activities program in the form of craft and art items.

Inquiries about how to donate, sign up for activities or become a volunteer can be made by calling 307-322-3424.
