PUBLIC NOTICE
Unapproved Record – The Board of County Commissioners, Platte County, Wyoming, met on the 2nd day of April 2024 in the county seat of Wheatland. Those present for the meeting were Steve Shockley, Commission Chairman; Ian Jolovich, Commissioner; Kayla Mantle, Commissioner; and Malcolm Ervin, County Clerk. Chairman Shockley called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM. Commissioner Mantle motioned, seconded by Commissioner Jolovich, to approve the agenda as presented. The motion carried. Commissioner Jolovich motioned, seconded by Commissioner Mantle, to approve the March 19th meeting minutes. The motion carried. The motion carried. Commissioner Mantle motioned, seconded by Commissioner Jolovich, to approve the Memorandum of Agreement with Cheyenne Pipeline LLC. The motion carried. Fire Ban: Commissioner Mantle motioned, seconded by Commissioner Jolovich, to approve Resolution #2024-07 Rescinding the Fire Ban. The motion carried. Lease Renewals: Commissioner Mantle motioned, seconded by Commissioner Jolovich, to approve the lease agreement with the Platte County Shooting Association for a term to expire June 30, 2034. The motion carried. Commissioner Mantle motioned, seconded by Commissioner Jolovich, to approve the lease agreement with the Platte County Trap Club for a term to expire June 30, 2034. The motion carried. Election Equipment Discussion: Members of the Platte County Republican Party were present to request the Board consider not utilizing electronic voting equipment for the 2024 voting equipment. Chole Butler, Jill Kaufman and Lucinda Houtchens addressed the Board on the request. The Board did not take action on the request. Audit: Paul Stille, Leo Riley & Company, presented the financial report for fiscal year 2022 – 2023. Mr. Stille reported there were no findings in the financial statement audit. Commissioner Jolovich motioned, seconded by Commissioner Mantle, to accept the Fiscal Year 2022 – 2023 financial audit. The motion carried. Road & Bridge: Commissioner Jolovich motioned, seconded by Commissioner Mantle, to authorize the sale of the Oshkosh snowblower for the high bid of $10,000. The motion carried. Executive Session: At 2:36 PM, Commissioner Mantle motioned, seconded by Commissioner Jolovich, to call for an executive session for personnel matters pursuant to Wyoming Statute 16-4-405(a)(ii). The motion carried. At 3:45 PM, Commissioner Jolovich motioned, seconded by Commissioner Mantle, to adjourn executive session where no decisions were made. The motion carried. There being no further business for board consideration, the meeting adjourned at approximately 3:55 PM. A regular meeting of the Board, which is open to the public, will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., at the County Courthouse, located 800 9th St., Wheatland, WY.
