PLATTE COUNTY SENIOR CITIZEN SERVICE DISTRICT BOARD
CHANGE OF MEETING TIME AND
LOCATIONS
The Platte County Senior Citizens Service District Board has voted to change their normal meeting time from 10 AM to 11 AM on the third Friday of the month during June, July and August. The June meeting will be held June 16, 2022 at the Guernsey Senior Center. During July, the meeting will be July 21 at the Chugwater Senior Center and the August 18 meeting will be at the Glendo Senior Center. Normal September through May meetings will be held at the Wheatland Activity Center. All fall, winter and spring meetings will be at 10:00 AM. The Public is welcome at all meetings.
JUNE HEARINGS AND MEETING
On June 18, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Guernsey Senior Center, the Platte County Senior Citizens Services District Board will have a 2022-23 Budget Amendment Hearing, followed by the 2023-24 Budget Hearing, and followed by the June regular meeting.
2022-23 BUDGET AMENDMENT HEARING
The Board proposes the following budget amendment. During the 2022-23 budget year, the Senior Services District Board purchased two handicapped accessible buses, two handicapped accessible transportation vans and a meal delivery van for Services for Seniors. Although $80,000 was designated for the Additional Draw category of the budget, we will need to move $155,000 from savings into the Additional Draw category to balance the 22-23 budget. The 2023-24 Budget Hearing will begin as soon as all public comment has been heard.
