CHUGWATER — The Stampede Saloon and Eatery in Chugwater was the venue of a music video shoot on July 5.
The Wyoming-originated band, Steve Frame and his Western Rebels, spent the afternoon at the Stampede Saloon and Eatery filming for one of their new songs, “Love Walks in the Door.”
Steve Frame said the band was familiar with the Saloon’s proprietor, Lance Nilson, from his work with Dakota Country Band. Frame and the band came to perform at one of the Saloon’s Thursday-night Open Mic Jams.
“We came in, looked around, and said, ‘this would be a perfect place to shoot our video,’” Frame said. “We got to talking to Lance and he was completely supportive of it. So we started putting it together and decided Chugwater would be a great place to come film.”
The film session had a good turnout of Saloon customers to help with filming as extras. Frame said he plans to perform a video release show on July 28.
“Love Walks in the Door” is just one of three brand new songs off Steve Frame and His Western Rebels’ new album.
“[The new album] is kind of a ‘Greatest Hits and More,’” Frame said. “We’ve got 15 songs on it — it’s called ‘Common Ground.’ Twelve of the songs are from previous CD’s, which are pretty much the ones the fans like the most, and then three of them are brand new. While the rest of them were recorded in Nashville, these three were recorded right here in Wyoming.”
