WHEATLAND — On Monday, Platte County, as well as many other nearby counties, faced a hail storm and tornado warning in the afternoon.
The severe weather warning from the National Weather Service was sent out prior to the storm, which began around 3 p.m. and died down in Wheatland around about half an hour, but at some point also reached Goshen, Laramie and Natrona counties.
There are currently no reports of house or building damage in Wheatland, but many vehicles have been impacted and dented by the quarter-inch to near-baseball-sized hail.
