WHEATLAND – Between Wells Fargo Bank and the Community Thrift Store, there’s another new venture in downtown Wheatland. Quintessentials Mercantile is open for business, thanks to family and friends who helped remodel the building.
Brother (not the monastic type) Quincy Powers and sister (not of the nunnery vocation) Sally (Powers) Nichols are the proprietors of this eclectic store. “I’ve always had a dream of having a sewing venture and dealing with flowers. Quincy likes making furniture so when he returned to the ranch from Montana, we decided to do something we liked,” said Nichols.
