Sip, Savor a success

WHEATLAND – Last Thursday was Wheatland’s first Sip, Savor and Shop downtown event. The area shops are gearing up for the busy holiday shopping season and want the community to know that they have some great holiday gift ideas.
The evening was a perfect brisk night without the Wyoming wind that sometimes puts a damper on things. Stores offered snacks and beverages. Windy Peaks Brewery were offering their popular “Mad” series at Drube Home. Fruit flavored ales made with Madagascar vanilla.
“It was a great turnout,” said Simply Creative owner Genia Vineyard. “I saw several people that don’t normally come for the regular events.”
There was a different vibe as it was geared more towards adults than families. There was plenty of light from the streetlamps and the added twinkling lights the decorated the buildings – a charming sight. If you haven’t been downtown lately, it’s something that shouldn’t be missed. Check it out before heading out of town or online for your shopping this year.
