DENVER, Colo. – Ronald Lee Reddy was born on Oct. 10, 1946, in Hollywood, Calif., to Woodrow and Gloria Pauline (Tinsley) Reddy.
He passed into Glory on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, after a brief illness Medical Center of Aurora-South Campus in Aurora, Colo.
He moved with his parents to Denver, in 1949 and spent the rest of his life there. Ron was educated in Denver public schools and graduated from East High in 1964. He attended Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kan. He began work at the Colorado State Highway Department at the age of 19 as a temporary employee. He then spent 36 years with the Highway Department and worked on numerous projects. It was always fun to drive with Ron and hear him tell what part he’d played in the various projects around Denver.
Ron was passionate about many things, first and foremost was cars. He loved all cars but was very partial to the Italian-made Alfa Romeos. He owned several over the years and joined the Alfa Club of Colorado. He served as Treasurer for more than 10 years and was involved in the planning and hosting for several national conventions held in Aspen.
He became involved with Christian schools when bussing started in Denver and his children would have been bussed 15 miles away at the age of 5 and 6. He served on various school boards for 10 years.
Ron and Jeanie Drury were married in Wheatland on June 22, 1968. He was passionate about his family. He is survived by his wife of 49 ½ years, Jeanie, a son, Paul, Ft Myers, Fla., a daughter, Suzi and grandson, Daniel Reddy, of Denver, two brothers Bob and Roger Reddy, and brother-in-law, Ed Drury of Wheatland. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Reddy in 1986 and Gloria Reddy in 1989.
Ron was active in several churches in the Denver area and passionate about his love for Jesus. Ron was a rock, a calming force, a gentle and generous person.
Graveside services will be at the Wheatland Cemetery in Wheatland on Thursday, Jan. 25, at 2 p.m. with a reception following.  
Memorial services are being planned in Denver. Date and time will be announced.

arrangements.
