Linda L. Cole passed away Saturday March 21 at Goshen Care Center in Torrington after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She is survived by her husband Stanley E. Cole of Torrington, 4 children- Debra Rainey of Independence Iowa.,David Cole of Guernsey, Ronald and Randy Cole of Dougla, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 sisters- Merna Blackburn of Douglas, Jenny Foland of Torrington.
Linda was born in Glenrock to Leo A. and Mildred N Matthies July 10, 1936. She graduated from Glenrock High School and married Stanley Cole July 12, 1955. She was an accomplished musician, fantastic cook, business partner in Cole Lumber and Construction for many years and overall fantastic human being. She belonged to several clubs and will be missed by all who knew her for her kind and loving spirit, sunny disposition and humor.
The funeral service will be held July 17 at 2 p.m. at the Douglas Episcopal Church, corner of 4th and Center in Douglas. Brief graveside service will follow.
