GLENDO — The Glendo Town Council took no action at its regular meeting April 11 since a quorum was not present, but they discussed some issues and said they would have a special meeting at 1 p.m. Wednesday for a budget session.
Only Mayor Susan Juska and Councilor Marit Thomas were present at the regular meeting.
Glendo Volunteer Fire Department Chief Dave Noyce asked the council for an increase of $5,000 in the department’s share of the town budget. Hagen thought the town could afford an increase.
Noyce reported the department responded to 146 incidents last year, which was a 40 percent increase over the last four years. He said the department needs equipment.
