Donuts for dudes…
Ciel, (l-r) Travis and Everson Jenkins take time for donuts and coffee before school at West Elementary last week. The meet-and-greet event welcoming students and their dads to share a fun breakfast together is sponsored by the PTO (parent-teacher organization.) The donuts are purchased with money from fundraisers the PTO had earlier in the year.

Quenten (l) and Jaxson (r) show their dad, Cory, the canvas art hand-crafted in art class for him. West Elementary art teacher, Lisa Young, tasked her students to use one word in English that described their dad, find the word in two other languages, then use their creativity to put it onto the canvas.
