Wrestlers head into tournament action after holiday break

WHEATLAND – The Wheatland High School Bulldogs wrestling team started 2025 off with a dual at Laramie on Tuesday, Jan. 7, and will compete at a tournament in Douglas on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 10-11. Our WHS grapplers will then head to Skyview High School in Thorton, Colorado on Jan. 18 for another tournament. The Bulldogs return home on Jan. 2 as they host a quadrangular on their home turf.
Wrestling coach Colt Goff said so far, the season is going well for the Wheatland team. “I am very pleased with our wrestlers’ aggressive style that they have displayed, I think the incoming freshmen talent has added to an already knowledgeable team,” he said. “Really the biggest issue we need to resolve is finding a way to keep kids from being sick – everything else is progressing well.”
