WHEATLAND – On July 20th, former Wheatland High School football coach Cody Bohlander and many community volunteers sponsored a golf tournament to benefit the WHS Football team.
The tournament is in its third year and boasted a total of 24 teams. Many of the teams included former WHS athletes and coaches, as well as WHS alumni. All proceeds go directly to the football team, as helmets alone can cost hundreds of dollars and there are always needs with updating implements and equipment. Our gridiron athletes would like to thank the community immensely for their continued support both financially and through attendance at their games. This season the Wheatland boys will begin as road warriors, so mark your calendars as the first home game for our Bulldogs will be at 7 p.m. on Sept. 27, against Glenrock.
