Wheatland FFA members recognized for achievements

WHEATLAND – Wheatland Future Farmers of America (FFA) held its annual banquet on May 18 in which it presented members a number of achievements and thanked its outgoing seniors for the hard work and dedication they put into the program over the last four years. 
The following members were awarded the Greenhand Degree:
Juanito Bell, Autumn Eftekari, Andra Fox, Izzy Johnson, Sophie Meyer, Emily Morris, Chase Rasnake, Chaizly Williams and Kreed Kuntz.
The Greenhand FFA Degree is the first degree awarded to new members in the organization and its a foundational recognition for students in their first year of agricultural education. It also marks their entry into the FFA and sets the stage for future achievements. To earn a Greenhand Degree, the members must meet specific requirements, which includes demonstrating knowledge of FFA principles, having a supervised agricultural experience plan (SAE) and learning the FFA creed, mission and motto.
The following students achieved the Chapter Degree designation:
Rileigh Allen, Sabella Douglas, Caleb Fredericks, Hunter Furl, Carter Herb, Maggie Hicks, Halle Huston, Kaidyn Kasun, Ace Keil, Ayden Lind, Madi McIntosh, Molly McGuire, Halle Mickelsen, Katie Miller, Jacob Miller, Meredith Querry, Carly Robertson and Haidyn Sisson.
The Chapter Degree is the highest degree a local chapter can award its members and it signifies a member’s dedication, involvement and leadership within the local chapter. This designation is a recognition of active participation and other accomplishments in the local FFA chapter, including a SAE, projects and community service. This designation also requires students to maintain academic achievement while in the program.
State Degree recipients include:
Rylie Davis-Lind, Traylea Foland, Jazlynne Gonzalez, Paige Hofrock, Karly Jones, Ella Keil, Eleni McKee, Camryn Mickelsen and Kaylee Rasnake.

This achievement is awarded to local FFA members by the state FFA to those who have demonstrated a significant involvement and achievement in FFA to eleventh or twelfth graders who meet involvement, community service, organization projects and events, educational excellence, and other requirements. This award is generally awarded to less than 2% of total organizational members statewide.
The following students were awarded a Career Development Event (CDE) recognition:
For farm business management, which took fifth place; Kaidyn Kasun, Ace Keil, Rileigh Allen and Katie Miller.
For greenhand quiz bowl, which took seventh place; Autumn Henthorn, Chaizley Williams, Emily Morris, Chase Rasnake and Andrea Fox.
For the poultry team, which took 11th place; Nolan Allen, Carly Robertson, Corinne Gaby and Caleb Fredericks.
For the sales team, which took 15th place; Nolan Allen, Caleb Fredericks, Traylea Foland and Chaizley Williams.
For the extemp, which took top 10; Nolan Allen.
For vet science, which took ninth place; Mikayla Durland, Traylea Foland, Katie Miller and Autumn Henthorn.
For agronomy, the Reserve State Champions; Sabella Douglas, Cooper Meyer, Eleni Mckee and Hunter Furl.
For environmental and natural resources, which took fifth place; Jacob Miller, Maggie Hicks, Ayden Lind and Halle Huston.
For livestock, which took fourth place; Kaidyn Kasun, Chase Rasnake, Halle Huston and Madi McIntosh.
For agricultural mechanics, which placed 44th; Kreed Kuntz, Colby Gefroh, Chaizley Williams and Brayden Durland.
The following students were awarded the FFA Leadership Award:
Rylie Davis-Lind, Brayden Durland, Sabella Douglas, Traylea Foland, Hunter Furl, Kaylee Rasnake, Nolan Allen, Mckayla Durland, Corinee Gaby, Cooper Meyer, Rileigh Allen, Maggie Hicks, Halle Huston, Kaidyn Kasun, Ace Keil, Madi McINtosh, Kaycee Metz, Jacob Miller, Katie Miller, Carly Robertson, Autumn Eftekhari, Andrea Fox, Autumn Henthron, Emily Morris, Chase Rasnake and Chaizley Williams.
The outgoing officer team of president Nolan Allen, vice president Carly Robertson, treasurer Rylie Davis-Lind, secretary Traylea Foland, sentinel Sabella Douglas, reporter Ella Keil, parliamentarian Kaidyn Kasun and faculty advisor Bill Dalles, would like to thank its members and community for supporting them this season and look forward to what the future brings.
