West Elementary Science Fair winners announced

WHEATLAND — West Elementary held its annual Science Fair on Tuesday, May 16. There were a total of 42 projects presented and 84 students who participated.
The third grade winners are:
First place — “SlimeTime” by Cayden Neeley
Second place — “Make Your Own Markers” by Tatum Struble
Third place — “Volcano” by McAuley Wright
The fourth grade winners are:
First place — “Chia Seed” by Waylon Milnes and Dylan Nelson
Second place — “Bad Bacteria” by Camryn Mickelsen
Two projects tied for third place — “Heavy Metal” by Gavin May and “Battery Barbeque” by Karly Jones and Taylor Stills
Fourth Grade Honorable Mention winners include: Bode Stone, Jake Mann, Aunnaleia Spiker, Taylen Anderson, Grace Benson, Teagan Cecil, Jazlynne Gonzalez, Karely Garcia, Kaylee Rasnake, Chelsea Shifflett, Cheyenne Warren, Brecken Sandlian, Abad Luna, Nichole Biggs, Naomi Allen, McKenzie Lockman, Delaney Aurich, Eleni McKee, Wyatt Fitzwater, Caid Diamond, Marissa Haynes and Desirae Iacovetto.
West Elementary would like to thank all of the judges who volunteered time for the Science Fair: Susene Smith, Connie Thomas, Bob Catchpole, Sharon Catchpole, Kelsey Arcocha, Carlos Garcia, Wyatt Guty, Danielle Britz, Hannah Nelson, Dylan Pearson and Zach Condie.
