LARAMIE (WNE) — The Laramie Police Department posted a request for help from the public regarding the location of a missing person.
Nash Quinn, a visiting professor of jewelry and metalsmithing at the University of Wyoming, has not been seen or heard from by family or friends since July 8. Attempts to contact him have proved unsuccessful.
According to Quinn’s close friend CarlyAnn Carruthers, the 39-year-old white male is roughly 5-foot-1 with a slim build, dark blonde hair, blue eyes, a mustache and glasses. He weighs roughly 165 pounds and would be wearing his helmet if he was out biking.
He reportedly rides his bike in the Pilot Hill area, Rogers Canyon, and at the summit to the Happy Jack Recreation Area.

David Jones, a friend and colleague of Quinn’s, noted that Quinn would have been riding a Ridley rigid steel frame bike with 29-inch wheels. The steel frame is white, and the seat is brown leather.
Anyone who has any information or has seen Quinn within the last 10-12 days should contact the Laramie Police Department immediately at 307-721-2526.
Quinn’s family started a GoFundMe to help fund search efforts, according to a Tuesday afternoon news release. In just a few hours, the fundraiser has brought in nearly 300 donations totaling more than $16,000.
Quinn and his bike are missing, concerning the family that he could be hurt.
“The search areas in and around Laramie Wyoming are very vast, encompassing approximately 70,000 acres,” Tess Quinn, Nash’s sister, wrote on GoFundMe. “The cost associated with this massive search is overwhelming.”
