U.S.A. –Rodee Brow (WHS ‘22) competed at the BYU Invitational where his 4x 400m relay team shattered a 24-year-old Weber State Record and set a new school record at 3:05.17. In addition, their time is leading the Big Sky Conference, is No. 10 in the NCAA West Region, and is now the No. 2 fastest time in the history of the Big Sky Conference.
Tyler Bohnen (WHS ‘24) competed at the GLIAC Championships in the Decathlon and the Open Javelin Throw. Tyler had personal records in the 100m at 11.19, the 1500m at 4:42.46, and the 400m at 49.60. These times earned him first in the Decathlon in the 1500m and 400m. In addition, he ran a time of 17.94 in the 110m hurdles, threw the discus 86’10”, threw the javelin at 124’4”, jumped 5’2.5” in the high jump, and 19’1.25” in the long jump. He polevaulted 9’6.25” and threw the shot 34’¼”. Overall he placed fourth with a score of 5500 points.
Lily Nichols (WHS ‘24) competed at the CSU Doug Max Invitational on Saturday. Lily set personal records in the 800m at 2:18.55 for 15th place and the 200m at 27.22 for 16th. In addition, she ran 15.82 in the 100m hurdles which was good for 11th place. She will conclude her season with the Mountain West Conference Championships in Fresno, California.
