Timothy Wayne Moon passed away unexpectedly at the hospital in Casper, Sunday, January 7, 2024. Tim was born, April 23, 1967, in Tishamingo, Oklahoma to Robert and Joyce Moon.
Tim attended grade school in Havre, Montana, and Wheatland and finished school in Lander. He went on to be part the Wheatland National Guard from 1986 to 1992. He worked for Brake Supply in Casper for 20 years and as a welder-mechanic at Basin Electric in Wheatland for the past 11 years.
In 2004, Tim met his soulmate, rock and best friend, Aubrey. They were happily married on February 17, 2007, to present day. Soon after they had two beautiful children, Haylie, 17, and Hayden, 11.
Tim didn’t have many interests beyond dove hunting with his coworkers. The way he bonded with anyone was beautiful. No one was a stranger to Tim. He would talk to anyone, anywhere. He could get someone’s life story just by looking at them and saying hello. His biggest passions were his wife and kids for the past 22 years. He wasn’t scared to put himself out there. He was the friend that always reached out first, he cared about everyone he ever met. He was the friend everyone wanted.
Tim was Aubrey’s everything. He was her protector, provider, and lover. His passing has left a hole in many hearts, and he will truly be missed by him family and friends forever. He was an organ and tissue donor and helped 5 different families. Just like in life, he helped in his passing.
Tim is survived by his wife, Aubrey; daughter, Haylie; son, Hayden; mother-in-law, Pam Daugherity; father-in-law, Mark Daugherity; brother-in-law, Travis Cashel; mother, Joyce Moon; siblings, Lynn Moon Wilson and Robert; nephews, Kolby and Kurtis Wilson; great nephews, Tanner and Troy Wilson; and great niece, Taylee Wilson. Tim is preceded in death by his father, Robert Moon.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held Friday, January 26th, at 2 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel, 710 East 2nd, Casper. A reception will follow at the Elks Lodge, 108 East 7th Street, Casper. A memorial fund has been set up at Platte Valley Bank.
