After several years of health complications, Susan ‘Sue’ Marie Cochran passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones in Phoenix, Arizona, on February 6, 2024.
Sue was born June 17, 1958, in Wheatland, the second daughter of Glendal and Betty (Wright) Cochran. She graduated from Torrington High School in 1976 and Chadron State College in 1980, and proudly served as a public educator for 41 years.
Sue joins in heaven her parents, grandparents, and numerous loved ones. Left to share the memories of her quick wit, endless talents, and incomparable humor are her daughter, Erin (Phoenix, Arizona), beloved family, and many wonderful and cherished friends.
A graveside service will be held at Wheatland Cemetery on Friday, June 14th, at 2:00 pm, with a gathering to follow at Lewis Park, with light refreshments. A celebration of life and tree dedication ceremony will be held on Saturday, June 15th, at 2:00 pm, at the Cochran Cabin, 193 U.S. Forest Service Road #633, Wheatland, WY, 82201 (appx. 40 miles NW, take I-25N to Exit 94, turn LEFT onto WY-319 El Rancho Rd./Fish Creek Rd. and drive appx. 8 miles. Turn RIGHT onto Harris Park Rd, #633, and drive for appx. 15 miles – follow the purple ribbons. Please bring your own chair(s); food and beverages will be provided.
