HARTVILLE – The Friends of Hartville have announced the “Valentine’s Cancellation Stamp” will be available this year starting on February 7 and running through February 27 at the Hartville Post Office. Anyone wishing to receive the stamp can bring their Valentine cards to the post-office, pre-addressed for mailing with proper postage, or send them to: Valentine Station Postmaster, P.O. Box 9988, Hartville, WY 82215. The cancellation stamp is authorized by the U.S. Postal Service to be stamped on mail through the Hartville post office until March 21, 2024, upon special request.
The Friends of Hartville group have been designing and coordinating the cancellations stamps since 1996. In past years, cards have been sent out to all 50 states and 22 different countries. For more information, contact the Hartville Post Office at 307-836-2516. Office hours are 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Saturdays.
