DOUGLAS and BUFFALO – The Bulldogs competed two days last week, both on the road. “We had duals in Douglas and Buffalo this week. We are still short athletes due to illness and injury, but those who competed showed bright spots that excite the coaching staff for the upcoming postseason,” coach Colt Goff said.
Postseason is coming fast, with WHS hosting the regional wrestling meet this Friday at the Wheatland High School gymnasium. Shirts and memorabilia are available for purchase at the event or online via local Wheatland business, Twisted Threads.

The WHS girls had a dual with Rawlins, where Taylor Gudahl won her match. Nicole Biggs, Corrine Gaby, and Kaidyn Kasun each lost by fall to their opponents.
The WHS boys also competed against Rawlins in a dual. Cooper Meyer, Jacob McDaniel, Tyrell Webber, and Kreed Kuntz won their matches. Kael Gudahl, Izak Goodro, and Colby Gefroh lost their duals.
At the Buffalo dual, Grady Bohlander, Cooper Meyer, Colby Gefroh, Kreed Kuntz, and Steven Reace won their matches. Gabe Hagen, Izak Goodro, Jacob McDaniel, and Juanito Bell fell short to their opponents.
The WHS boys also took on Lovell as a team in a dual competition. Cooper Meyer, Jacob McDaniel, and Tyrell Weber won their matches by fall. Colby Gefroh and Juanito Bell lost by fall.
