Seniors keep busy during winter

WHEATLAND – The month of February we’ve been busy from playing cards, to Solo or Pinochle cards – even double Pinochle cards, Bingo every Wednesday, and pool playing.
Our Valentine’s Day Bingo party and rootbeer floats get-together was a huge hit. Our chair yoga program is on every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. plus, we have a monthly free movie and weekly Bible study and cardio work out.
Our Wheatland Seniors Activities center has been busy with our daily activities plus monthly crafts class given to us by Carrie Kafka the Activities director.
Spring is in the air and with April coming soon we have scheduled our Activities calendar in April. Our local Wheatland Dance studio dancers are going to perform a small Spring flying dance recital at 1:00 p.m. on April 14th for our Seniors to enjoy a bit of spring at our Wheatland Seniors Activities center. You’re welcome to attend the recital or any other festive activities we have scheduled monthly for our Seniors 60 years and older at the Wheatland Senior Activities Center we always have hot coffee and fresh cookies. Please come in and look around our center, pick up our monthly newsletters and monthly Activities calendars.
On the first day of spring, a donation of tulips and daffodils brought a bit of spring color to the tables. Kafka said, “They’re just plum beautiful, it’s truly the little things that mean the most! I love that the community thinks of sharing with us, it’s like Christmas but in flowers.”
