PUBLIC NOTICE
Unapproved Record of the July 15, 2019 Proceedings of the Platte County Commissioners in Wheatland, WY – A public hearing was called to order at 7:00 PM for the purpose of reviweing the budget of Platte County, and the Guernsey Rural Fire District, for Fiscal Year 2019 – 2020. The following were present: Steve Shockley, Vice-Chairman; Ian Jolovich, Commissioner; and Malcolm Ervin, County Clerk. Chairman Sandy Kontour was present via a video conference. Others in attendance included Dennis Miller, David Warner, and Theodore (Ted) Stanfield of Guernsey Rural Fire District. Malcolm Ervin, County Clerk, presented the Final Platte County Budget Summary and requested the full twelve (12) Mill Levy to satisfy Platte County’s budgetary needs. The total amount required to be raised through general taxation for Fiscal Year 2019 – 2020 is $2,531,130.56, which would need to be disperssed among Platte County – in the sum of $2,031,756.41 or 9.63 Mill Levy – Platte County Library – in the sum of $369,158.13 or 1.75 Mill Levy – and the Platte County Fair – in the sum of $130,216.02 or .62 Mill Levy. Mr. Stanfield presented the budget for the Guernsey Rural Fire District and requested a two-and-a-half (2 ½) Mill Levy, which would be a decrease from three (3) Mill Levy, which has been set for a number of years.
