Pete the Cat and colorful crafts
Platte County Library’s Haley Chenevey reads “Pete the Cat, Crayons Rock” by Kim Dean. The children listen closely as Pete learns about art with crayons. Haley Chenevey leads Platte County library’s children’s story time in Wheatland every Tuesday.
Randy Bell
After the story, the dozen pre-school children make their own coloring box with the help of parents. The kids’ Storytime with Haley is held Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. to engage children with captivating stories, themed craft activities, snacks, and promote socialization, reading, and learning. October story times will include the themes Wormy Apples (Oct. 1), spider puppets (Oct. 8), Bats (Oct. 15), puffy ghosts (Oct. 22), Halloween pets (Oct. 29).
