WHEATLAND – A career fair hosted by Wheatland High School was a success this year, boasting 40 vendor stations highlighting various career fields available in the region. The entire Wheatland High School student body, Guernsey-Sunrise school, homeschoolers, some Goshen County schools, and members of the community came to the event last Wednesday.
“Overall it was a success to have so many tables representing colleges, careers, and the military, so that’s a success in itself,” principal Josh Sandlian said. “Part of our belief is we want students to know what their options are after high school and be ready for whatever they choose to do.”
“This helps teach them what’s available in the world, so there was learning for them,” Al Teel, the career fair coordinator, said.
The vendors were served breakfast and lunch, with Becky Moody’s culinary class preparing the food.
