New Wheatland resident comes bearing gifts

WHEATLAND – The Platte County Sheriff’s Department was given some gifts that will make a difference for their law enforcement efforts in Platte County.

New Wheatland resident and entrepreneur who has recently purchased the Twin Pines buffalo ranch which has been retitled as the Hoskinson Ranch. He also purchased the HillTop Bar and Grill which will also be seeing a facelift and remodel as Hoskinson is planning to take between 6-9 months to create a restaurant with Scottish cuisine and a “brogue” ambiance which will feature a two-story Loch Ness Monster skeleton. The restaurant will be aptly named, “Nessies.”

Hoskinson who said that he loves the idea of being a rancher felt a definite calling to Wheatland. Hoskinson who is a problem solver and philanthropist saw a need at the Platte County Sheriff’s Department and decided to help meet that need.

According to former Platte County Undersheriff Grady Winders, “He donated an Arrgo scout 8x8, enclosed trailer for the Arrgo, .308 AR rifle, Ruger precision 6.5 Creedmoore bolt action rifle,  and ammo which included 10,000 rounds of 9mm, 400 rounds 6.5 Creedmoor, 1000 rounds of .45, 1000 rounds .308. The Argo is an all-terrain amphibious vehicle that was designed for extreme terrain can haul 4 people in water and 6 on land.

Hoskinson said that he is also keeping his eyes peeled for opening perhaps another steakhouse restaurant and a Japanese restaurant in Wheatland.
