PLATTE COUNTY – Platte ParaTransit, would like to announce a “Stuff Sale” to raise funds to help give rides to medical appointments for the elderly, disabled, and otherwise unable to drive. Platte ParaTransit, a local non-profit, was set up to serve citizens in Wheatland, Guernsey and Chugwater and often drive patients to dialysis in Cheyenne, chemotherapy in Douglas, or orthopedic care in Laramie as an example of some of the types of appointments they transit to. Platte ParaTransit will also go to Casper, or Ft. Collins and Greeley, Colorado on a very limited basis. Two to three months’ notice is necessary to coordinate the travel for any appointment.
The organization is always in need of volunteers and donations to keep the non-profit with a fleet of four vehicles (including a wheelchair van) going strong.
Save the date for the “Stuff Sale” at Covenant Luthern Church fellowship hall (1863 South Street in Wheatland) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, April 25; and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 26.
For more information on the sale, or for to schedule a transit to an appointment, call 307-241-4145 and leave a message for a return call.
