Service will be held on August 10th, 2024, at the Wheatland Cemetery at 11am, followed by a celebration of life held at the First State Bank Conference Center, 1405 16th St. Wheatland.
Leonard passed away at the Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper Wyoming on June 29th, 2024, at 68 years old.
Born in Cheyenne, to Leonard “Link” Anthony Redding Sr. and Iva Verlene (Baker).
Graduated from Wheatland High School with the class of 1974, He acquired his pilot’s license and CDL soon after.
He resided in his childhood home in Slater and married Carolyn (Johnke). They had three children, Leonard 111 (Tony), Cody and Dusty. They later divorced.
He was an owner, operator and drove over the road for many years. After selling his truck, he started working in the coal mines as a heavy equipment operator at Cordero Rojo, Caballo, and then ending his career at North Antelope Rochelle.
While driving a truck across the country, he met Susan (Watling) of Ontario, Canada and they were married October 1st, 2002. They resided in Wright for a short time before moving to Upton. In 2020 they moved to Wheatland where they built a house next to his childhood home.
Hobbies included flying, hunting, fishing with his sons, motorcycling, camping, and traveling. He loved getting together with friends and family, he was always a social butterfly!
Survived by his wife Susan of 22 years, his children Tony (Lisa) and Cody (Katie), stepchildren Collin, Nikki, Crystal, and Kris. Sisters, Ann (Beatrice) Justus (Hershel), Theresa Stanley (Dan), Mary Budd (Steve), brother John Redding (Carolyn), numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents Leonard Sr. and Iva, daughter Dusty Redding and nephews Jason, Justus, and Casey Budd.
