WHEATLAND – Western Royal joined with Wheatland’s own Lauden Keck to bring King of the West Truck Fest (KOTW) to Wheatland over Memorial Day weekend. It was a success with 148 entries and thousands of dollars in prizes, according to event organizers. The truck fest, according to their website, “aims to be the largest truck gathering in the mountain west region.”
The event boasted a truck show with more than 12 classes, a Mobile Dyno competition with more than eight classes, and five classes of dirt drag racing. Any pickup, truck, big rig or motorhead in the Mountain West Region was welcome to participate in the show ‘n shine, dirt drag racing and mobile dyno sled-pull competitions. There was even a hand-wash detail service available for participants from Wyett Martin’s “Elevate, Polish and Detail” out of Wray, Colorado.
Sponsors included Envision Media, Elite Diamond Motorsports, and Reckless Innovation.
