WHEATLAND – The Platte County Hospital and Platte County Legacy Home Foundation Board (Foundation Board) received a special donation from Bomgaars.

For the past several years, Bomgaars in Wheatland has hosted a ladies night titled “Night of Festive Fun and Fall Shopping.” The most recent event was held on Nov. 3, 2024. Along with great discounts and deals for shoppers, a percentage of the night’s proceeds were pledged to raise awareness about women’s health issues for Platte County. This was Wheatland’s biggest year yet, with a donation of $1,119.95 made to the Foundation Board for the Platte County Memorial Hospital.

The Foundation Board exists to raise funding and provide financial support for selected projects and equipment needs for Platte County Memorial Hospital and Platte County Legacy Home. The Foundation Board has chosen to award these funds to Platte County Memorial Hospital to promote breast cancer awareness in Platte County and support breast cancer screenings.

“We are thankful for the support of Bomgaars and their donation from Ladies Night which will bring awareness to women’s health in our community,” Foundation president Lauren Nordeen said.
