ROCK RIVER — The Albany County Historic Society sponsors a presentation June 10 by Jay Harman at the Rock River School Auditorium beginning at 2 p.m. A number of families who live in Wheatland have connections to Garrett, where Harman’s great-grandfather homesteaded back around 1900.
The presentation will share the rich history of some of the early settlers of north Albany County. Six of Harman’s ancestors homesteaded in this part of Wyoming. Some of them arrived as early as 1891.
Harman’s discovery of his great-grandfather’s old manuscript about four years ago was just the beginning.
